Don't miss your opportunity to own one of these Rare Philips Custom Harp Microphones!
This Vintage Philips microphone is without a doubt one of the best Harp Mics ever customized by The Harp Mic Shop and since building one for myself I rarely use anything else.
This particular microphone came from one of the Foreign Embassies in WashingtonDC when it was removed during a remodel. It was labeled as a Philips/Norelco EL6031/66 and was manufactured in Holland. The mic was originally attached to a flexible gooseneck and was designed for use as a podium microphone.
I have removed the flexible gooseneck and have installed a Switchcraft connector and Adapter to ¼” at the back of the mic and have installed a miniature volume control near the back of the mic and a Lo-Z to Hi-Z transformer in the shell to boost the impedance of the microphone to 50 K-Ohms.
The result is one of the Richest, Deepest Toned Harp Mics that you have ever heard and I guarantee that you will absolutely love the Tone. The mic is capable of both clean and dirty tones which can be controlled by the way you cup the mic.
The mic is 2 ½” deep (4 ½” with the adapter connected) and is just under 2” in diameter at the head. The small size of this mic makes it cup well in even the smallest hands and the vents in the shell are excellent for use of hand effects as well as controlling the feedback.
The mic is in good cosmetic condition but does show a few minor blemishes and wear.
